Whether Licentiate in Electrical Engineering course is equivalent to Diploma in Engineering?

Is the earlier "Licentiate course of
Electrical Engineering" is equivalent to the
present "Diploma in Electrical Engineering"?

Old LEE can never be compared with DEE . For LEE , only 11th Std. was the minimum qualification for admission . Syllabus was75% of BE . Duration of study was 3 yrs. × 8 hrs. For the same position both BE & LEE were eligible only with difference in years of experience. Licenciate Courses were abolished in 1965 and Diploma Courses were introduced with reduced syllabus and only 10th Std. minimum qualification .
