Am I eligible to get scholarship for doing Ph.D if I have qualified for GATE with 180 all India rank?
Sir/Mam, I am a Ph. D. (Mathematics) Scholar from Tezpur University, Assam, India. I have already qualified the GATE exam with all India rank 180. I have first class in my M.Sc in Mathematics also in B.Sc. Am I eligible to get any type of scholarship during my Ph.D course?

Being a GATE qualified candidate you can surely apply for Ph.D admission, when there is a notification, but selection will be on the basis of merit. You need to perform well in the interview stage and also the viva presentation which is conducted by the concerned university or institute.
Hence, you can apply for admission but admission is on merit at top institutes. Therefore, just be well prepared for the interview stage. |
