is the cs course manageable after 12th?

there are three level in this course,
1. Foundation Courses:
2. Intermediate Courses:
3. Final Courses:

for foundation course, you must have passed 12th,(duration 8-months)

for intermediate course, you must have degree in graduation or post graduation degree in any stream(duration 9 months)

for final, you must have to clear both the exams\course, that i have metioned earlier .

eligibility::

pass 10+2 examinations
This is a basic-level course, which is of eight-month duration ( 8 Months).

Company Secretary Intermediate Courses:

eligibility::

should have passed Foundation Course .
graduate or Master’s degree to get enrolled into the Intermediate Course.

The duration of the Intermediate Course is nine months ( 9 Months).

Company Secretary Final Courses:

The company secretary candidate becomes eligible to sit for the final course after he
completes and clears the Intermediate Course.

subjects covers in CS are like English, Economics, Financial Accounting, Business
Communications, Business Environment, Corporate Restructuring, Management
Information Systems, Banking and Insurance, World Trade Organization, Corporate
Secretarial Practice, Company Law, International Trade, Human Resources Management
and Industrial Relations, Joint Ventures and collaborations and commercial law.

For those students who are pursuing the course through Foundation Programme i.e. after passing Foundation Programme level, this would be the second level course relating to the CS (Company Secretaries - Professional Accounting) Course.
For those students who are taking up the course after their Graduation this is the primary/first level course.

Course Duration

The minimum course duration as per the regulations of the institution is
CS_EP » 10 months

The course duration is the minimum time that a student has to spend on taking up the course at this level. It is the period starting from, the time the student gets registered, to the time the student completes the course.
The actual time that a student has to spend on the course would be dependent on the actual date of registration.

When are the Examinations Conducted?

The main/final examinations for the course at this level are conducted twice every year generally on specified dates which do not change except under extraordinary circumstances.

The duration for CS Intermediate course is 8 months.
For CS Foundation course is 9 months.
Then you are eligible to the final course.

The duration of cs course is five years if you do your practical training together with your exams. To complete this course you have to pass three exams. First exam will your foundation exam, next executive exam,and then final exam. For appearing each exam you have to register yourself before nine months.The requirements of foundation exam is one should have completed his/her +2 exam. One can get exemption from foundation exam if he/she has completed the graduation or any other master degree.

Stages to become a Company Secretary
The student who would like to join the Course after 10+2 has to undergo three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course i.e.

Foundation Programme

Executive Programme

Professional Programme



In addition, the student has to undergo Practical Training for about 15 months which a student may opt to start after passing the Executive Programme.



The Student who would like to join the Course after passing the Graduation has to undergo two stages of the Company Secretaryship i.e.

Payment Option : The payment can be sent to the Headquarters by demand draft drawn in favour of ‘The Institute of Company Secretaries of India’ payable at New Delhi OR by cash across the counter from the Headquarters, Regional Offices & a few of the Chapters.

The fee for CS Foundation Programme is - Rs. 3600/-
for Executive Programme - Rs. 7000/-
for Commerce Graduates whil- Rs. 7750/- for Non Commerce Students
