Marks in AIEEE to get admission into NITs, what were previour year cutoffs for NITs?

Hello Sir,
I'm Praveen Nair. I'm getting around 240 to 260 marks AIEEE mock tests. I want to Join B.E./B.Tech mechatronics in NIT's(i'm preferring NIT,Trichy). I want to know that getting around 240-260 is enough to get into NIT.

your expected rank is in between (30000-50000)
but if your rank actually lies in between the above mentioned range then you hardly have any chance to get selected in any nits

My dear friend...........if your son is expecting a score of 164 in this year aieee then his rank may lie between....
30000-40000.....he may even get a rank below 30000....

there are only 10000 seats in all nits and few more 1000 seats in other colleges which take students be aieee exam.....

there is a little chance of getting into nit with this score ....but you will definitely get a good college other than nit through aieee.......

dear,
with this score you might not get an nit......
but if you belong a state where there is an nit then you might get a seat through state quota.........try for it........

if not there then you will get into the best state level college of your state through your score in aieee,...............

dear sir ,

on the 164 marks in the aieee exam your son will get the all india rank of about 35k.
on the rank of 35k your son will get the admission in the branches like chemical , mining , information technology in the any of the old 20 nit's.
as there are new 10 nit's are available this year.
if your son belongs to the any of the state in which new nit is opened then your son will definitely get the advantage of that.
because there is 50% of seats are reserved for the home state quota.

like if your son passed the 12th exam from the mizoram then you will be in the home state quota for the nit ,mizoram ( aizwal campus.).

with 164 marks,he is expected to get around 30K to 35K rank..

with such a rank,you might manage to get a newly opened NIT but he will have to compromise with the stream as he might not get his desired stream..

there are various other options other than the NITs like
BITS
VIT
KIIT
JIIT
Thappar University

just wait for the counselling

there is no individual cutoff for nit is based on the rank to get admission. there is cutoff in the aieee exam. it different for different categories. for more information visit the aieee site.
