Yes you can apply for B.C.A after passing 12th with commerce stream with minimum 50% marks. In my opinion you should not go for distance course. If you have money then go for regular course so that you get help in future. There are many university offering B.C.A through distance education. GOOD LUCK! |

Re: BCA or B.Com from GNIIT: better option after 12th standard with commerce? Percentage required in 12th?
I am sorry to say GNIIT is not such a suitable option because there is no placement guarantee. Companies prefer degrees and GNIIT is merely a diploma. I have seen students of this course denied a job when they lack a technical degree.

Re: BCA or B.Com from GNIIT: better option after 12th standard with commerce? Percentage required in 12th?
Choosing BCA or B.com totally depends on your interests. If you are interested in entering in IT field you 0can join in BCA. If not, you can join in B.com. And if you want to join in BCA you can join in GNIIT. If you are going to join in B.com i think GNIIT is not the right choice. Note down that to join in BCA you must have chosen maths as one of the main subjects in your 12th std.

Re: BCA or B.Com from GNIIT: better option after 12th standard with commerce? Percentage required in 12th?
BCA and B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) are both good options for students who have completed their 12th standard with commerce. The choice between BCA and B.Com depends on the student's interests, skills, and career goals. BCA is a specialized course that focuses on computer applications, while B.Com is a more general course that covers topics related to commerce, finance, and economics.
As for GNIIT, it is a diploma course in software engineering offered by NIIT. It is not equivalent to a degree program such as BCA or B.Com. However, students who complete GNIIT can pursue higher education in the field of computer science or software engineering. To apply for BCA or B.Com programs, the minimum percentage required in 12th standard may vary from institution to institution. However, in general, a student needs to have scored at least 50-60% marks in their 12th standard exams to be eligible for admission to these courses. It is recommended that the student checks the admission requirements of the specific institution they are interested in before applying for admission. |
