yes you can appear for clerk exam.....
but,there are few banks that their eligibility criteria change like corporation bank require graduate student and now a new recruitment in PNB also require graduate. so, you have to check respective bank web site about their criteria but most of the banks criteria is 10+2. if you have basic computer knowledge than it will help you.so,get some basic knowledge and if require join some computer classes if necessary. and for clerk the speed is also important as accuracy because you have only 90 minutes for 200 questions. i hope this help you. all the best. |

Recently, Corporation Bank recruitment 2011 for Single Window Operator (Clerk) announced. ofcourse for clerical one need to clear 12th class with a minimum percentage of 60%..(or in highest degree) the above is the qualification required by SBI and hope similar kind of requirement for other banks also... so one must satisfy the above condition in prospectus of qualification... Age limit for clerical : 18 to 28 years but their is relaxation like 3 years in the case of OBC candidates 5 years in the case of SC/ST/Ex-servicemen Application fee (including postage charge) non refundable: for SC/ST/Person with Disability/Ex-Serviceman Rs 50/- (the fee is towards postage only); for all others (including OBC) Rs 300/- Thanks |

Yes surely you can apply for the Bank clerical examination.
Eligibility Criteria for bank clerical cadre is: 1. Age- 18-28 years. (relaxation in age- SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PWD 10 years) 2. Nationality- Indian 3. Gender- Applicable for both men and women 4. Educational qualification- 10+2 with any stream from a recognised board with minimim of 60% Examination Syllabus of Clerical Cadre is: 1. The minimum qualification for bank clerk is 12th and the age should be more than 18. the most important thing is the marks means one should score more than or atleast 60%, otherwise you are not eligible. |

would you please tell me that if a student who has scored 45% both in 12th and graduation level,does not fit in 50%'s of graduation and 12th requirment , then can he /she apply for clerk exam on Post graduation basis where he/she scored 68%? do we need mention percentage in advertisment in graduation/12th? can't we apply on the basis of Post graduation degree where one has scored well??

The educational criteria for bank clerk post vary from bank to bank. Some bank need 12th pass with 50% some with 55% some with 60% and some banks demand for gradution. So for bank clerk the minimum educational rulieication required is 50%. If you have obtained at lest 50% in 12th class than you are eligible for clerk post of some banks.

With 12th qualification your not eligible for the bank clerk exam . you need to qualified in under graduation then only your eligible for the bank clerk exam . I provide you details for the bank clerk exam please go through .
Eligibility criteria for the clerk examination : you should qualified in under graduation in any stream with 55% percentage of marks from recognized university and if your belong form sc/st caste then relaxation is given to for 55% percentage of marks . Your age should be 21 to 28 years of age . if your belonging form the following category then the relaxation is given to you: sc/st candidates for : 5 years obc and other backward candidates for : 7 times handicapped candidates for : 10 years You must finished any computer course ie : ms office and tally . that computer course certificate will help in your interview . If you want to join in clerk post in bank . then you can apply for the any one under graduation course . I hope that you definitely get the get the bank clerk job |

A 12 pass student can apply for CLERK examination. But you did not tell me the marks in 12th standard. Normally good banks are asking for minimum 60% marks in 12th standard. But if you do not have 60% in the 12th standard then you can apply for these banks : 1.GRAMEEN BANK 2.DENA BANK. 3.YES BANK. 4.MALLABHUM BANK. 5.IDBC BANK. But you can not apply for these bank : 1.SBI 2.UBI 3.ICICI 4.HDFC BANK. 5.RBI |

My dear friend, A 12 pass student can apply for CLERK examination. but most of the banks wants minimum 60% marks in the 10+2 examination. I think you have a good result in your 12th standard examination.
