Profile:
Central Bank of India was founded in the year 1911 under the Government of India. It was the first commercial bank of India fouded by Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala. Sir Pherozesha Mehta is the first chairman of the bank. The headuquater of the bank is located at Mumbai, india. It is one of the oldest and largest commercial bank present in the country. There are approximately 35 hundred branches of this bank in 27 states of the country.
Job Profile:
Central Bank of India is inviting applications from the indian citizens for the posts of Clerk. Candidates will be posted on Clerical Cadre posts of Central Bank of India in various states.
Eligibility:
Candidates should be atleast 18 years old and the maximum age limit set for the post is 21 years as on January November 2010. There is relaxation for the reserved category candidates as per government rules.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates are required to be atleast 12th passed from a recognized board. Candidates having qualification less than 12th standard should not apply for this post as their application will be discarded straightaway.
No. of posts: Total 1163 posts are available in various states.
Pay Scale: A consolidated amount of Rs. 7200-19300 will be paid as a salary to the selected candidates per month.
Application Fee:
Candidates should deposit the fees in any CBS branch of Central Bank of India. The application fee is Rs. 250 for all except SC/ST/PH and Ex-Serviceman. Rs. 50 is the application fee need to be paid by SC/ST/PH/Ex-SM candidates.
Selection Process:
The date of written examination is 13 February 2011. Result of this written examination will decide about the final selection of the candidates.
How to apply: Application must be made online only by the interested candidates and that too before the last date for the reciept of online application. Submission of the online application must be made from 9 November 2010 to 8 February 2010.
