dear friend,

for this exam there is many subjects for which students can appear.and also

the syllabus is different for the different subjects.but for the general ability test

the syllabus is same,and now you can get all the details about this on the

websites.given here.

The ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) conducts the ICAR-JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) exam to select candidates for research positions in various agricultural and allied science disciplines. Here are the subject groups and syllabus for the ICAR-JRF exam:

Subject Groups:

Group A: Agricultural Biotechnology, Plant Sciences, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Entomology, Nematology, Agricultural Microbiology, Plant Genetic Resources, Seed Science and Technology, Floriculture and Landscaping, and Vegetable Science.
Group B: Physical Science, Chemical Science, and Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Application.
Group C: Agronomy, Soil Science, Agricultural Meteorology, and Agricultural Physics.
Group D: Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Sciences, Animal Sciences, Fisheries Sciences, and Dairy Sciences.
Group E: Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Statistics, and Home Science.
Syllabus:
The ICAR-JRF exam syllabus varies according to the subject groups. The syllabus covers topics related to the respective disciplines. Here is a general overview of the syllabus for each subject group:

Group A:

Agricultural Biotechnology: Principles and techniques, Genetic engineering, Plant tissue culture, Molecular markers, Genomics, and Proteomics.
Plant Sciences: Plant anatomy, Plant physiology, Plant growth and development, Reproduction in plants, Plant ecology, and Environmental science.
Plant Pathology: Plant diseases, Pathogens, Principles of plant disease management, and Plant disease diagnosis.
Agricultural Entomology: Insect morphology, Insect physiology, Insect ecology, Economic entomology, Integrated pest management, and Insect biodiversity.
Nematology: Nematode morphology, Nematode anatomy, Nematode physiology, Nematode classification, and Nematode management.
Agricultural Microbiology: Microbial diversity, Microbial physiology, Microbial ecology, Microbial genetics, Fermentation technology, and Biofertilizers.
Other subjects in Group A have specific syllabi related to their respective disciplines.
Group B:

Physical Science: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Chemical Science: Organic chemistry, Inorganic chemistry, Physical chemistry, and Analytical chemistry.
Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Application: Mathematics (Calculus, Linear algebra, Differential equations, Probability, and Statistics) and Computer Application (Computer basics, Programming, and Data analysis).
Group C:

Agronomy: Crop production technology, Weed management, Soil fertility, Cropping systems, and Organic farming.
Soil Science: Soil formation, Soil properties, Soil fertility, Soil conservation, Soil microbiology, and Soil analysis.
Agricultural Meteorology: Weather and climate, Weather forecasting, Climate change, and Agrometeorological instruments.
Agricultural Physics: Energy in agriculture, Environmental physics, and Agricultural instrumentation.
Group D:

Animal Biotechnology: Principles and techniques, Animal cell culture, Genetic engineering, Molecular markers, Genomics, and Proteomics.
Veterinary Sciences: Anatomy and physiology of animals, Animal nutrition, Animal genetics and breeding, Animal diseases, and Livestock production management.
Animal Sciences: Animal nutrition, Animal genetics and breeding, Animal physiology, and Livestock production management.
Fisheries Sciences: Fish biology, Fish nutrition, Fish genetics and breeding, Fish diseases, and Fishery management.
Dairy Sciences: Dairy technology, Dairy engineering, Dairy microbiology, Dairy chemistry, and Dairy management.

Group E:

Agricultural Extension: Extension education, Communication methods, Rural development, and Agricultural policies.
Agricultural Economics: Agricultural finance, Farm management, Agricultural marketing, and Agribusiness management.
Agricultural Statistics: Statistical methods, Sampling techniques, Data analysis, Experimental designs, and Statistical software.
Home Science: Food science and nutrition, Human development
