JNU conducts entrance exam probably in the month of may-june.for syllabus you can go through the official site of JNU-www.jnu.ac.in
you should prepare from graduation syllabus since most of the weightage comes from graduation part.

JNU Application Procedure
If you want to procure an application form for JNU Entrance exam by post, your request should be accompanied by a crossed Bank Draft of Rs. 200/- in favor of Jawaharlal Nehru University payable at New Delhi as well as a self-addressed (unstamped) envelope of the size of 30 cms X 25 cms. One needs to clearly indicate the category for which the Application Form is required on the self-addressed envelope to the Assistant registrar (admissions), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110067.


The amount for candidates from Nepal and Sri Lanka is Rs.300/- or equivalent US Dollars.One can also acquire the form from the University cash counter on cash payment of Rs. 120/ on all working days ( Monday to Friday). Proposed important dates:
Early Feb. to mid march – availability of application forms
Mid may – entrance examination
First week of July – interviews.
Mid July – declaration of result

yes you can apply for the entrance exam as the dates are already being announced and you can also collect the forms from any of the participating universities or by sending a dd in favour of JNU or by post a sum of Rs 120 can get you the form and for more details about the syllabus which is very vast plz visit the official site which is www.jnu.ac.in and for preparation go through each and every details of the entire course and it will be better if you join a coaching institute because the time is less and you need to coverup more so i suggest to get enrolled in a good institute which can get you success and increase your chances well best of luck and wish you success in the exams the important dates are :-----

Date of Issuing of Application Form: From 1st February to mid March 2010.
Last date of submission of Application Form: mid March 2010
Date of Examination: mid May 2010 between 15th and 18th, but will be notified later.
