Let me take this opportunity to make your concept a little clear
First of all I would like to say all the information furnished above are FALSE.
Consider the following points :
1)UGC does not / cannot establish any university under its Act
2)UGC only recognizes a university and does not affiliate a university.
3)Universities are established under an Act of State Legislature (State University) / Parliament (Central University). For example Calcutta University's Act was passed by West Bengal Legislature so it is a State University and the Act of Visva-Bharati was passed by the Parliament so it is a Central University.
4)UGC is the SOLE body in India who can recognize a university. No other govt body has the constitutional power to this.
5)AICTE approval is required for a few technical courses not for general stream. Please note AICTE only approve the course not the institute or university.
6)'University' is a statutory term and no institute can use the word in its name without the the said recognition of UGC.
7) Even in case of private universities the concerned Acts are passed by the legislature of the State where the university is located.
8)No recognition/approval/affiliation from any govt body can be used in lieu of any other govt body. For example a UGC recognized university can not run a B.Ed. course without the approval of NCTE.
9) There is a Deemed University (not full fledged university) namely "Vinayaka Mission Research Foundation" in salem, tamil nadu. "Deemed University" is a status given by Ministry of Human Resource Development and not by UGC.
10) Till date UGC DOES NOT recognize "Vinayak Mission's University"


Last but not least, I would suggest you to go through the verdict of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case Prof. Yash Pal -vs- the state of chhatisgarh.

I have done done my B.Tech through Vinayaka missions throguh DDE from one of the study center in hyderabad. But that study center has been closed now. They have given the certificates 1st and 2nd years from other university, 3rd and 4th years from Vinayaka missions. Now am i eligible to write the gov examinations??? Am i eligible to go abroad for the jobs??? please suggest. As per the above onversation i can see it was recognised by the UGC..

The Vinayaka University is approve by U.G.C.
But it is not approve by A.I.C.E.T...

After passing B.E in civil from this university you can apply for govt. or privet job..

it is not approved by aicte and very strangely in J&K who could not qualify his 12th std exam or took 4 to 6 years to qualify 3years diploma, did his BE from vinyaka mission with70 to 80% marks...........more mockery of the things some did BE in two branches at same time........great university...................
