Re: About joining merchant navy
being a sponsored candidate after completing a course you dont have to apply any where for a ship recruitment ,the company that has sponsored you will place you in his ships directly......so it is better to be sponsored........

Re: About joining merchant navy
hey the main advantage of being a sponsored candidate is that you dont have to pay anything and dont have to face other financial harassements.
and the other advantage is that you are already a placed candidate so no need to find a job after completion of the course. |

Re: About joining merchant navy
The Merchant Navy is a non-combatant commercial fleet, which deals with transporting cargo and occasionally, passengers, by sea. Its fleet is therefore composed of passenger vessels, cargo liners, tankers, carriers, as well as other special types of vehicles. A career in this field is full of adventure and long voyages to exotic places. Above all this, the excellent pay and promising promotional opportunities make the career lucrative and exciting in spite of all the hard work life and long absence from family and home.

Re: About joining merchant navy
Hello,
The cost of the course depends upon the course you take. If you are goin in for a higher post the fees will be high. Also, desk cadet fees is low. Yes, it has a good prospect. Training fee is high, but later remuneration too is very high, so all will be recovered soon enough. God Luck! |

The fee may be hefty during the course but once you join in a ship/tanker you will get to know that it was negligible amount that you pay. The enumeration are huge and also great benefits and world tours you will enjoy. |
