getting admission in Government colleges is very difficult for you, as your rank would be very low.

NO!!
you would surely not getting any seat in any good GOVERNMENTAL COLLEGE in WEST BENGAL.Since your rank is really low hence you should apply for some of the private colleges which are as under:

• WB INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
• ST COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING
• SAROJ MOHAN COLLEGE
• INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

hence better you apply the private colleges

This rank is not good if you are opting for a Govt College. Maximum Govt colleges are filled up within 4000 rank.

But Still you have chances in Govt college like-

1) Jadavpur University (Printing Technology)

2) BESU (Printing Technology)

If you want to go for a Good stream then you should opt for private colleges too.Because with this rank you can ge a chance in good private colleges like-

1)AOT

2)TECHNO INDIA

3)MCKVIE

4)BIT

Maximum no of these colleges provide good Placement too.

I have listed the govt college name in West Bengal For WBJEE 2012exam.Also i have mention the seat capacity of those colleges.

But this seat allotment is vary some time it will be increase.Some time some new branched will be added.

Total no of govt college seat is above 3000 but even 20,000 rank holder get the seat for govt college also.
