No, you cannot join in ANM after GNM because GNM course is done after ANM.

ANM (Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery) is a 2 years diploma level course.
The eligibility required to study ANM is 10+2 or any equivalent education in Science or arts stream with 40-50% from any recognized board or institute. The percentage may vary based on the state and university.

GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) is a 3 years diploma level course.
The eligibility required to join in GNW is the candidates age should be 17 - 35 years. There is age relaxation based on government rules.
The Educational qualification required is 10+2 or equivalent education in science/ arts stream or ANM with minimum 40-50% from any recognized board or institute.

ANM (Auxilary Nursing Midwifery ) is a 1 year diploma course
For ANM course you need to qualify below eligibility criteria--

** Candidate minimum age should be 17 years.
** Candidate must have passed 10+2 education in arts/science stream with English .

++ After GNM course you can apply for ANM course and also can work as a GNM in public hospitals , as a nurse , and can complete your course meanwhile.

Hi,

Yes,after GNM(General Nursing and Midwifery) you can do ANM(Auxiliary nurse midwife).

You should satisfy the below 2 conditions:-

==>You should do 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board from the school and it should be recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.

==>Apart from the above condition you should be registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
