what are the requirements to become a custom officer. what are the books to read n what is age n height required for it

If you want to become a custom officer then you age is not more than 28 years and your height is minimum 157.5 cms and chest 81 cms is required.

for custom oficcer you have to sit in SSC/upsc exams, minimum requirements that you must be graduated, syllabus includes - reasoning, general knowledge, numericals, eng(essays, comprehension, wring expressions and skills), age 21-27 years, for more details visit to: www.ssc.nic.in.

Requirements-
Height --- 157.5 cms
Chest --- 81 cms
Age --- Less than 28
Qualification --- Graduate
Relaxation --- SC, ST, ND
Exam --- UPSC, MPSC

you must b a graduate,plus u must get thru,competative exam, like UPSC,MPSC,age must less than 28, relaxation for SC ST ,ND and height is of 157.5cm.

To become a Customs Officer you will have to take the Civil Services Examination which provides entry into 27 different services including the Indian Customs & Central Excise Services.You can also take your State Public Service Commission’s Allied Services Exam for state-level jobs in Customs and Excise.

A Bachelor’s degree in any stream is the basic qualification required for becoming a custom officer.

Candidates applying for custom officer should not be more than 28 years of age & should have a minimum height of 157.5 cms.

To prepare for the custom officer exam you need to in touch with all the current affairs and should have good General Awareness. Regular reading of newspapers will help you. You should also need to read Competition Master at a regular basis

to become custom officer, your height must be above 158 cms and your age must be less than 28 years. If you are having these qualifications then you must apply for it.

As to join the customs department you must appear in the CGLE carried out by SSC. The age of the candidate must not be more than 28 years. The height requirement is a minimum of 157.5 cms and chest width must be 81 cms.

apart from the age factor , if other things are more than Prescribed then its ok?

First you have to apear in CGLE conducted by SSC.

The upper limit of age = 28 years.

Hight required =157.5cm.

chest= 81 cm.

Hello sir,Yes of course after completing your diploma studies you can go through the Engineering entrance test(ECET) examination for entrance into Engineering colleges directly to the 2'nd year.Only private colleges which are under the University allow diploma students to enter into the 2'nd year as lateral entry but for the Universities you have to go through the course right from the first year.

Everything will depend upon your score and the options which you have kept in the counselling.If you secured good marks then you will definitely get a seat in University.Each college reserves about 1/10th or even more seats(depending upon the State Government) in each particular course for the diploma students.So every college which is under the University allows diploma students to join directly in the second year.
