AFCAT - Air Force Common Admission Test conducted by Air Force every year for selection of officer in Flying Branch, Technical Branch, Ground Duty Branch under Indian Air Force.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried National having completed Graduation in any stream with 60% marks from a recognised University within the age of 20 to 28 years with good Physical Fitness.

AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test) is conducted for recruitment of candidates to 3 wings namely :-

> Flying Branch

Eligibility for the 3 branches are as follows :-

For Flying Branch :-

Eligibilty criteria to apply for these are:

Flying Branch: Graduates with minimum 60% marks and should ahve studied Physics and Maths as subjects in class 12th or BE/BTECH
Age should be between 19 to 23 years

Technical Branch: BE/BTECH pass with minimum 60% marks
Age should be between 18 to 28 years


If you are in the 3rd Year of the than you can apply for the UES.
Minimum eligibilty is Prefinal year of the BE/BTECH.

No,at present you are not eligible to appear in AFCAT(Air-Force Common Admission Test). For Appearing in this exam,you will have to completed your Engineering degree.

Aire Force Common Admission Test. AFCAT is an Entrance test conducted for Selection of candidates in defence sector various branch of Indian Air force(Flying, ground, Technical).

AFCAT Exam consists of 100 questions of duration 2 hours and each question carry 3 marks. Thus AFCAT is a 300 mark test.

1. General Awareness- History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc

2. Verbal Ability in English- Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary.

3. Numerical Ability - Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest.

4. Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test- Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

ELIGIBILITY FOR AFCAT EXAM;-

Academic qualification :
This is different for different branches.
1)Ground duty branches :
-One should have an age between 20-27 years of age
-One should have the PG or Bachelors degree in any subject with at least aggregate of 60% of marks

2)Flying branch
-The applicant need to have a minimum age of 19 years and a maximum of 23 years.

After Completing you're B.tech you're eligible for AFCAT Entrance Examination.

The Criteria is differ from branch to branch .

Any applicant who is a citizen of India with the following educational qualifications are applicant to take part in this Entrance Examination .

For Ground Duty Branch :-

For Administration and Logistics:- Graduation Degree with Minimum 60% Percentage of marks either Master degree course in any discipline from recognized university. The Candidate age should be in between 20 to 23 years.

For Accounts:- Graduation degree course in B.com with obtained a minimum of 60% Either Holders of M.com/CA/ICWA with minimum 50% marks are eligible for this Accounts Branch. The Applicant age should be Minimum 20 years to 25 years .

For Education:- Applicants should have successfully cleared post graduation in any desire specialization from recognized university and the applicant should be Study by getting at least 50% marks in gross in Post graduation course are eligible to apply for this Entrance Examination. The age of the candidate should be Minimum 20 and Maximum 27 years.

For Flying Branch:- The candidate must have passed in graduation course in any discipline and obtained not less than 60% marks in Graduation course and It's Necessary that the candidate should have mathematics and physics as a Main Subject in 12th examination. The candidate who completing B.Tech course may also eligible for this Branch. The age of the candidate should be 19 years to 23 years

For Technical Branch:- A pass in B.tech in Aeronautical Engineering Course with not less than 60% marks from recognized university. The age of the candidate should be Minimum 18 and Maximum 28 years.
