The minimum requirement of Height in the Indian Air force for the Flying branch is 162cm an for the other branches like ground duty branch and the technical branch is 157.6 cm.
So as you are saying that your height is 162.5 cm, you can easily apply for the various branches of Indian Air force as an officer.

As you have not mentioned your qualification here but if you are a graduate or a engineering student then you can apply for the Indian Air force as an officer through Air force common admission test in the various branches of Indian Air force.

If you are in 10+2 then you can apply for the Indian Air force as an officer through National Defence academy examination. This examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year.

Yes, at the height of more then 162.5 cm you can join Indian Air Force as the minimum requirement of height for Indian Air Force Flying Branch is 157.6 cm.

You have not mentioned your educational qualification so if you have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and within the age of 16.5 to 19 years male you can appear for NDA exam conducted by UPSC two times every year to join Indian Air Force.

If you are a Science graduate or engineering graduate then you can join Indian Air Force through CDS9Combined Defence Service) conducted by UPSC twice every year.

Eligibility for Air force

Hi rohit,

You will be happy to know that, you are definitely eligible for air force.

Minimum eligibility for air force is 157.5(ground staff) and 162(flying section) , As your height is more than that , you can certainly go for air force.
