Am I eligible for Desk Cadet after scoring 54% marks in 12th including PCM in CBSE


Dear sir,
I have given my board exam of +2 and have scored 54% marks in pcm .so,please help me by telling,that am i eligible for desk caddet or any other course of merchant navy.if yes,then what should i do now for such course.egarly waiting for your reply.

No, you are not eligible for Deck Cadet after scoring 54% marks in 12th.

The eligibility criteria required to become a Deck Cadet are as under :-

- The candidate must have passed 10+2 in Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics group of subjects with at least 60 % marks from a recognized board .

-The candidate age limit to apply for the post is from 21 years to 24 years .

-The candidate should be physically and mentally fit as per the norms of the navy .

The physical requirements for a candidate to join merchant navy as deck cadet are as under :-

Height : 167 cm

Weight : 50 kg

Chest : 77 cm without expansion and 82 cm with expansion

Eye- sight : 6/6 without color blindness

No, you are not eligible to apply for deck cadet post is merchant navy as you have scored 54% of marks in your 12th class.
The educational qualification required to apply for this post is 12 th standard pass with mathematics, physics and chemistry with atleast 60% of marks in aggregate or B.SC or B.TECH degree with atleast 55% of marks.
And only unmarried Indian citizens are eligible to apply and the candidate must complete ship training course before joining as deck cadet in merchant navy.
And the physical standards required to apply for this post are:
* 150 cm height for men and 145 cm height for women candidates
* Weight should be 42.5 kgs for men and 39 kgs for women candidates
* Eye sight should be 6/6 in good eye, 6/9 in bad eye for distant vision.
