I am doing my M.B.A In Travel, Tourism and Hospitality management from the global university of Nagaland . can I sit for Net exam ;what is the maximum age limit for that.kindly acknowledge .

The acronym for NET is National Eligibility Test.

NET examination is conducted by UGC every year for the posts of JRF and Lectureship.

The eligibility criteria required for NET examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of post-graduation or a final year student of post-graduation from UGC recognised university.

* Age limit- 20-28 yrs for JRF and no age bar for Lectureship.

* Nationality- Indian.

Anyone with the post graduation degree can apply for the National Eligibility Test. You just ensure that your college is affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC). Otherwise you may not be allowed to appear for the National Eligibility Test.

To appear for NET entrance exam you will have to complete the Master of Business Administration. The age limit depends on whether you are applying for the college lectureship or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

There is no age limit for lectureship while 28 years is the maximum age limit for candidates who want to apply for the Junior Research Fellowship. Therefore depending on your choice, please see whether you are meeting the age criteria or not.


Eligibility

1. Only Indian citizens are eligible for NET.

2. Must have completed PG course.

3. At least 55 percent marks in post graduation.

4. SC and ST should secure minimum of 50 percent marks.

5. Final year students of PG course are also eligible.

6. However to avoid disqualification they should submit the degree within 2 years.

7. There is no restriction on number of attempts.

8. You should select NET subject which is relevant to your PG course.

9. The age limit for JRF is 28 years.

10. upto 3 years relaxation for OBC.

11. SC and ST are eligible for 5 years relaxation.

12. No age limit if applying for lecturer job.

NET(National Eligibility Test) exam is conducted by the UGC(University Grants Commission) two times in a year i.e in the month of july and december.

To eligible for NET exam any candidate should be complete Post-graduation from a recognised university with the minimum of 55%marks, So if you are completed your Post-graduation then you are eligible for the NET exam. The age limits details are given below.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidate should be complete Post-graduation with atleast 55% of marks from a recognised university.

5% of marks relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

You must be a citizen of india.

Final year persuing candidates are eligible.


Age criteria details:-

The age limits for JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) is the maximum age limit is 28 years.

3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates,

5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

For Lectureship there is no limit.
