Am I eligible to study MBBS after B.Sc Nursing?

Hi, I have completed 4 years regular Graduate degree course in B.Sc Nursing from a UGC recognized college. So, now can I study MBBS? Will I get any exemption from 1st year in any medical college?

MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Nursing. The minimum academic qualification required to apply for MBBS course is 12th passed from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Minimum of 50% marks in 12th is required to apply for MBBS entrance exam called NEET.

NEET is an All India entrance exam for admission in medical courses. You will not get exemption from first year of MBBS course. You will have to apply for NEET 2020 and secure good rank for admission in government colleges.

MBBS is Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor in Precipitation. It is five year course from a recognised university.

To get admission in the course, candidates have to appear and qualify in NEET , AIIMS MBBS.

There will be no exemption for the candidates passed B.Sc Nursing course.

Candidates passed 12th in PCB with minimum 50% aggregate are eligible to appear in the NEET examination. The minimum age limit is 17 years.

MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and the minimum education required to pursue the same degree course is a Class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate (or 40% marks in aggregate in case of reserved category candidates) in PCB group subjects from a recognised board of education.

So, having completed your B.Sc. in Nursing degree course, you are eligible to pursue MBBS degree course as the minimum education required to pursue MBBS is same as that for B.Sc. in Nursing. But, there is no provision of exemption from MBBS 1st year course for B. Sc. in Nursing degree holders.

Also, for getting admission in any medical college of India for pursuing MBBS degree course, you are required to clear NEET or AIIMS MBBS Entrance examination or JIPMER MBBS entrance examination.

No, you are not eligible to get any exemption in the duration of MBBS course after the completion of B.Sc Nursing course.

Candidates passed 12th in PCB with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised board are eligible to appear in the NEET examination and after qualifying in the examination will become eligible for admission in the MBBS course.

So, if you want to get admission in the course you will have to appear and qualify in NEET. No lateral entry in the course.
