i am finished b.sc computer science . now i am studying b.ed.am i eligible for the tet exam around 6th to 10th. is anyone appointed the last 2012 tet exam in computer science department? if i passed the tet exam. then surely am i got a job? or not . please answer me , i am so confused .

With a view to enhance the quality of education in the secondary schools of the Govt. has amended the Education Service Rules fixing minimum standard of qualification for teacher’s eligibility in secondary schools in accordance with NCTE
Regulations.

Accordingly the first Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) for Secondary Education will be conducted in the last week of February, 2013 by
the Secondary Education Department of the Government

Eligibility Criteria :

Graduate Teachers: BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com with 50% marks with B.T./ B.Ed. degree

Age of the candidate should not be above 38 years as on 1st January 2012. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates

A candidate must be a Indian citizen in order to apply.


Structure of Test:
General Studies & Current Affairs – 100 Multiple Choice Questions of 100 marks
Pedagogy & General English – 100 Multiple Choice Questions of 100 marks

Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted to recruit teachers for Class I to Class VIII in the government schools. While Central Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted for schools funded by the central government, Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted by each state respectively.

The entrance exam is conducted to ensure that quality teachers are recruited in the government schools. The decision was taken because of poor quality of education in the government schools.

Before you can apply for the teacher eligibility test, you will have to complete mandatory Bachelor of Education course. The duration of the course is one year. Depending of the stream the candidate will be trained to teach various subjects.

Upon completing this course, you can apply for the Teachers Eligibility Test. Clearing the test itself does not mean that you will surely get recruited. It depends on number of vacancies in the government schools. However since the percentage of students passing the exam is extremely low, you will have a very good chance of getting the job.

Please remember that CTET exam is only for central government funded schools where TET is for state government schools. If you cleared the Gujarat TET, it would not help you get job in Maharashtra.


B.Ed Eligibility

1. A bachelor degree in any discipline.

2. Minimum of 50 percent marks in graduation.

3. OBC need 45 percent marks.

4. Requirement for SC/ST is 40 percent marks.

5. The educational pattern of the candidate should be 10+2+3.


TET Eligibility

1. Only Indian citizens can apply for it.

2. A bachelor degree in any discipline.

3. At least 50 percent marks in bachelor course.

4. A mandatory B.Ed degree.

5. There is no upper age limit for CTET. While in TET it may vary from state to state.


You will need to score at least 60 percent marks in TET exam to clear it. SC/ST candidates should score 55 percent marks.

There are different posts and each post has its own eligibility criteria.

For Graduate Teacher: BA/B.Sc/B.Com with 50% marks

And for other posts, the criteria vary.

The age limit is the age should not be above 38 years.

The validity of TET will be for 2 years.

The written test consists of 100 multiple choice questions for 100 marks.

The topics will be on general studies and current affairs.

TET stands for TEACHER Eligibility TEST.

TET exam is conducted at state level by various state boards.

After the complition of your B.ed you can eligible.

ELIGIBILITY ;

In order to appear in TET exam you should have to complete your graduation from a recognized university and you must have B.Ed degree.

There is no upper age limit for this exam.

Also there is no limit for no. of attempts.

You have to score minimum 60% in the TET test to qualify for teaching jobs.

Dear Aspirant ,

NO, you are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) with your B.Ed degree.

Because , as per educational qualifications, must require Graduation in any stream with B.Ed course with minimum of 50% as aggregate then only eligible.
as you are not completed Graduation with B.ed course with graduation so, you are not eligible.

Must get minimum of 60 % score as cut off to get eligibility for Job in Entrance test.

You should have a B.Ed. degree along with B.Sc in Computer Science then only you can apply for TET.

TET is Teacher Eligibility Test and it is conducted for those who are having a B.Ed or an equivalent qualification.

Those who qualify TET will be eligible for Teacher post in a Government school.

So if you are not having B.Ed qualification then you can take admission into B.Ed from a good college and after completion you will be eligible for TET.

Most of the Entrance examination for B.Ed requires 50% marks in Graduation. So you must have 50% or above marks then only you will be able to get admission into a good college.

TET will have objective type questions from Teaching Aptitude and your subjects that you have studied in your Graduation.

So be prepared for the examination if you really want to get a good job as a teacher.
