You are eligible for CSIR NET. Engineering graduates as well as post graduates in science are eligible for CSIR NET. Applications can be forwarded through the web portal of CSIR NET. A minimum of 55% marks is required to apply. There is no upper age limit for NET (lectureship).

Re: Am I eligible for UGC NET or CSIR NET? I am a student of MCA
Dear Friend,
The Full Form Of NET is National Eligibility Test. This Test is conducted every year twice by the UGC [University Grants Commission] for those candidates who have eyes on the following posts : 1) JRF [Junior Research Fellowship] 2) Lecture Ship In order to appear for the National Eligibility Test , the candidates have to fulfill some of the required eligibility criteria set by the UGC for this exam. These Required Eligibility Criteria are : * The candidate must have completed post graduation in any stream from any recognized university. OR, The candidate must be in the final year of post graduation in any stream. * The candidate must have passed post graduation with a minimum of 55% marks. * The candidate must be an Indian Citizen. * Age Limit : - There is no age limitation if you are appearing for the NET Exam for the post of Lectureship. - The Age Limitation applies for the post of JRF and is 21-28 years for those candidates who belong to General Category. * Age Relaxation of 3 years is given in upper age to OBC Candidates whereas SC/ST Candidates get 5 years relaxation in upper age. So, from the above mentioned criteria as well as your present educational qualifications , i opine that you are eligible to appear for the National Eligibility Test. The UGC Conducts the National Eligibility Test every year in the months of June & December. So , you should prepare well as you can appear in the NET 2013 Exam which is going to be conducted in the month of June this year. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Am I eligible for UGC NET or CSIR NET? I am a student of MCA
Yes you are eligible.
Candidates possessing a bachelors degree are not considered eligible for National Eligibility Test. In order to take the test, you must complete masters degree program and must score a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination. However, the required percentage of marks is relaxed upto 5% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category. The National Eligibility Test is conducted by University Grant Commission for Lectureship as well as for Junior Research Fellowship. Since there is no age limit to take the test for Lectureship, candidates opting for Junior Research Fellowship needs to be within the maximum age limit of 28 years. For further information about National Eligibility Test for some of the subjects conducted jointly by University Grant Commission and Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, refer to www.csirhrdg.res.in |
