Yes its possible only if yo study well this time. Dont depend on the quota seat. Try to get through the general seat for IIT and 38 marks in marks are fine but next time try not to commit any mistakes and learn from the mistakes you just commited.
As your joining coaching so i guess you will discipline yourself much better then previous year Best of luck |

Re: Any chance in IIT an SC candidate score 38 in IIT Maths paper?
dear priyanka,
Your marks in maths is not bad, i would like to remind you that, you can select in IIT-JEE if you will pass the cut-off marks in all three papers like physics, chemistry as well as in maths. As you a SC candidate then, no doubt you will get reservation but you have to qualify in all papers. Dropping one year is not a problem for IIT appearance so you need not to take any type of tension, you have to prepare for it very well. good luck. |

dear friend,
you can't get admission in IIT only with marks in maths.you have to perform well in physics and chemistry also. you have to pass the cut off in three subjects maths, chemistry, physics, for sc candidates as decided by iitjee. best of luck. |

@ priyanka
there is reservation for the sc/st candidates as per the rule of the government. the cut off marks is separate for each subjects so you should pass in all the subjects. and in the math you marks is good but if you increse the marks a little more then you must crack the exam.and then you full fill your dream. |

Re: Any chance in IIT an SC candidate score 38 in IIT Maths paper?
yes, you have a chance to clear iit jee
because maths subject cut off is very low as compared to physics and chemistry even some time cut off marks for maths subject is even below 10. and also since you belong to sc , you have a benefit of reservation. or better now you can join any good coaching or any corresponding course and prepare for next year iit jee exam try to pick each single topic and clear its concept first then solve its related problem select few topics which you like more and focus more on the selected topics so that if any question comes from the given topic than you can surely solve it |

But Individual Cut offs also comes into Picture. If you Clear each Subject with 1/4 less than cut off then being a SC/ST you can clear your IIT Exam. Good Luck. |

Try to learn from the mistakes you did this year.Solve the questions with accuracy and solve as many question paper as possible. Coaching is a good option as you will get a good study environment there which is extremely important and make sure that your basics are clear in every topic because IIT CHECKS AND ASKS FUNDAMENTAL QUESTIONS FROM BASICS. Re: Any chance in IIT an SC candidate score 38 in IIT Maths paper?
Since your marks are very low, and even if you can get admission through reservation, then you may not be able to get good branch , better would be to wait for AIEEE exam and then decide.
