iam studying 12th right now. Iam studying in andhra pradesh!.....how can i able join in genetic eng. What is the process to join??

Most institutes do not offer courses in Genetic Engineering as a special discipline but as a subsidiary in biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry streams. Genetics is offered at the undergraduate level, at Kakatiya University, Warangal and Osmania University, Hyderabad, both in Andhra Pradesh. Some of the universities which offer genetic Engineering courses at postgraduate and doctorate levels are the Bio-Informatics Centre of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)
New Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur and Delhi), Delhi University, University of Calcutta, MKU-Coimbatore, Birla Institute of Technology (Pilani Rajasthan), University of Lucknow, Jadavpur University (Kolkata, West Bengal) etc.

Genetic Engineering Fees:


The B.tech genetic Engineering tuition fees is approximately per year is from Rs.40,000 to 1,50,000 and is varied from college to college.





Eligibility for Genetic Engineering Courses:



A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent and Minimum 65% aggregate in Mathematics / Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
To pursue undergraduate course in genetic engineering, candidates should be selected on basis of marks obtained in Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) and
All India Engineering/Pharmacy/Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
