i need your assistance regarding.. after finishing B.Tech (E.C.E).. what are the best courses to do for getting software job.... presently Iam doing java...

I really don't understand why do you opt for a software job after completing your Engineering from ECE Stream which is totally different from CSE Stream.Coming to the question,yes the present course which your undergoing is pretty good.Since your presently going through the Java courses hence am sure that you must have gone through the C,C++ Courses also.You can even go through the .Net course.

The OS Platforms to explore are Windows, Linux, Unix, Solaris.Oracle financials are also have good demand all over the world.I recommend you to go through the respective OS mentioned because if you are into the database side you can see that all programmer's usually uses either Windows or Linux.

All these courses will definitely help you to land up in Software side.

My friend ,as you are showing interest in software field, then you can go for courses like- Object Oriented Programming Language like JAVA, .net, Networking, DBMS etc..
These are the demanding courses to get a software job..
As, you are doing JAVA now, it will help you a lot to get a job in IT sector..
JAVA is the most powerful language now a days in the world..
so, try to learn the language as good as possible..

Why you are asking for software jobs being a ECE engineering student.Why you are thinking for this field, why you don't think about jobs in your field.

There are various jobs available available in your field.you have to think about jobs in your field.you can get good jobs in your field.According to me you can't get good success in software field.

Software field is different from ECE field .if you entre in software field you have to study from start and your much time will be waste you have to think about your field.

In software field most work depends on computer student and you doesn't have knowledge about languages.if you try to prepare these language your much time will be waste.

Hello as i concern your question i aware of that you are presently doing java if you want to go to software side than it is very good to command on java and with it you have to command on c ,c++ etc

Except this you have to do the D.B.M.S course that is data base management system and .net course and by giving interview you can get job in software core companies like tata consultancy , wipro , infosys these are the companies which take the students of computers oftenly but if your interest is in software than no matter you are from ece you can join these companies.

M.Tech is a much more advancement into a particular subject in detail.

M.Tech for electronics and communication engineering may have different subjects of specialisation like :
-Embedded systems
-Very large scale integrated circuits
-Sensor technology
-Digital image processing
-Signals and systems
-Advanced robotics
-Power electronics

Of all these subjects its important to choose the subject which you shall be more intrested as you are the one who shall deal with it.

VLSI is having a good demand in foreign countries than in India.
In my view i can assure that embedded systems stream is having a good research presently going on in terms of advancements in micro electronics, so it shall be an advice to choose it as your specialization.
Judge yourselves depending upon intrest and choose a good stream.

it sounds good that you have completed your b.tech with ECE branch and wanna go for furthur courses and now you are busy in java courses, so i think you are interested in CSE branch courses , you should try about linux , core java , jdbc and other high profile language courses

I think after completeing your b.tech you should go for M.tech if you want to continue your study otherwise you can join for jobs. Otherwise you can go for phd through SET or NET...

after studying electronics and communication for 4 yrs now you are turning towards software stream . inspite of various options available in ECE why so?

well thats a matter of interest too or may your college unable to conduct campus drive for ECE.

apart from this ...there is training institute called CISCO it offers a no. certified courses in OS and in other field also and imp thing about this is many companies prefer such student as compare to others.

you can have govt sectors jobs by clearing written and interview of ISRO,DRDO,BEL,BARC,IES ...if you choose this then plz give exam by seeing syllabus .

there are various computer course in B-TECH but some course are help you for your placement .

like in 1 st year you have to do some course for C .

in 2 nd year you have to do JAVA and C++.

In 3 rd year you have to do ORACLE and 4 th year you have to di DVANCE JAVA.

Then you are be a technically sound candidate.

Also crack any company because your technical field is good.

NOKIA

SAMSUNG

DRDO

ISRO

AIRTEL

ERICSSION

SATYAM COMPUTER

Also you are eligible for private sector IT companies like TCS , CTS , WIPRO,IBM ,L&T etc.

If you have 60% in through out then you are eligible most of the company.

So you can choose any of the above organization.

if u are b.tech freshers and agregate of above 60% you can apply the software jobs in the stram of c,c++,java, .net,oracle. software companies give first prference to freshers. if you are interested in government jobs you can also apply for that jobs like ongc, jto,drdo,bhel,etc. otherwise through gate you can study post graduate, you also get stiphend around Rs. 8000 per month

You choose right option.Java is the best way to continue your software course.It will give so many changes to get a good job.There are many jobs are present for java programmer.There are many others options are present but only concentrate on java language.Its a very good language and many companies do their job with the help of java language.So its better to choose java language.

Other options are present like .net,php,orracle etc.These some language are mostly used in programming.These are also good languages.
Its your choice.You can choose any one of them.

You are in the ECE field and you want to go in the IT field, i don`t understand that. But is this your interest then java is a good language for you you can do your best in this language because this language will give you the best opportunity.

For ECE candidates there are job offers in both the software and core side companies.

As you are interested to go with the software following are the better courses:

C,C++

Java

Oracle

.net

DBMS

OS........etc

Among all the above C,C++<Java and dbms are preferable.

Marine engineering is a very nice engineering course of the engineering sector. Marine engineering is an engineering deals with the equipment used in sea or ship, board etc. They are involved in the making, designing, maintenance, repairing equipment used in sea.

As you passed engineering on electronics and communication engineering so i don't think you are taking about the to take admission on the marine engineering b.tech or b.e. If you are saying about that so you know the procedure to take admission as you gone through it. I think you are talking about to take admission on the m.tech on marine engineering. Yes you can take admission on the marine engineering after passing graduation on electronics and communication engineering.

Procedure of taking admission on m.tech:

To take admission on the marine engineering on m.tech you have to seat for the GATE exam . If you qualify then you have to apply college wise to take admission. After applying they will conduct a exam you have to appeared for it. If you qualify the exam you have to face interview. Another option is if your gate score is high then their cutoff marks then you can go do direct interview.

If you unable to qualify gate exam nothing to worry as there as a non gate entry . here you have to apply to the college and appeared for the exam if you qualify then you have to face the interview. As you are taking admission on the non gate basis you will not pay any finical support by the govt.other wise all are same.

There are some institute conduct their own exam you can apply them also it is also non gate exam.

Dear Aspirant,

That is great enough to fetch you a good job in the IT industry.

Since the Java is the high prefered language in the industry from the students of ECE.

Also you should have a knowledge in the HTML and CSS.

As you said that complete your JAVA both core and advanced.
then get perfection in coding not only in JAVA but also in C,C++.
If you are interested to do still more courses better to take .NET,Hadoop,Cloud computing.etc
