I am 3rd year mechanical engineering student & i am intrested in mtech.I want to know top 3 courses in m.tech(mechanical engineering) which are having very high salary & demand in international&domestic market.

The many subjects in the mechanical engineering for the M.tech degree is:
Manufacturing Systems Engineering
Industrial Engineering.
Mechanical Handling and Automation
Pollution and Noise Control.
Computer Aided Design.
Mechanical Systems Design
Computer Aided Manufacturing.
Combustion and Propulsion
Heat Transfer and Thermal Power

but for the high salary above three streams are best.

the demand of mechanical engineers are increasing from day to day
if you are doing m.tech from an good institute like IIT then the best courses for you wold be
1.mechanical design:
extremely highly rated course and the pay is also very high,salaries up to 6 lac's per annum were offered by Benz last year
2.production and industrial engineering:
this course is also in vety high demand and huge salaries
3.thermal engineering

to get any of these courses in the iits you have to score very good marks in the gate exam ,
so start preparing from now itself

you can take specialization in Petroleum Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering , Production Engineering,, These sectors are having very high salary and good demand in international and domestic market.

As you have done mechanical stream in B-tech,the best option for M-tech is

-CAD/CAM
OR
-THERMAL POWER PLANT ENGINEERING
OR
-AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING

IF you select CAD/CAM,you will be treated as software engineer,as you have to complete your task on computer.

In this you have design the component and should analysis the component where stress will be taking place.
For this you should have logical thinking.

At present CAD/CAM as the good demand in top manufacturing companies.



So i suggest you to take either CAD/CAM or THERMAL POWER PLANT ENGINEERING.

This course will showing good future in coming years.

Never spoil ur life in doing ME in Aeronautical. U wil get job only as a teacher.

i,m doing a btech degree at the polytechnic of namibia in mechanical engineering and i want to pesue an msc eng at any university in south africa expecial at the witts university in johanesbug, but the problem is that with a btech i,m not enlargeble for the admission unless i have done a beng or bsceng, sowhat route can i take for me to do the msceng, is it posible to do the mtech and go for msceng or just the groduate diplomer but the thing is i dont want to do the graduate diplomers, is posible for one to do the mtech the go on with the msceng expecial in south africa.
