Hi dear..

BITS (Birla Institute of Tecnnology) is surely better than any NIT (National Institute of Technology) .


BITS rank aprox 4th rank all India when compared to other colleges , this means
that if you don't get admission in IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Chennai you should go for BITS as it's much better than all others IITs except some which I mentioned above.

Whether you compare it on the basis of Infra, location, placement etc, it is better than any NIT

There are several differences you between BITS and NITs that you must know.

NIT stands for National Institute of Technology, it is a government organisation as compared to BITS(Birla Institute of Technological Sciences) which is a private university.

BITS being a private university has a very good infrastructure with proper classrooms, labs, facilities, hostels but NITs do not pay much heed to the infrastructure which is strictly ok.

On the basis of placements, both of these are comparable. The best branches of NIT(warangal, trichy) have comparable placements to BITS Pilani campus. other NIT campuses are similar to BITS Goa in placements.

Overall personality development and hostel, college life wise BITS is better any day because of its facilities and well trained faculty. Also student quality is better in BITS because there are no reservations whatsoever but in NITs about half of the crowd is from OBCs or SC/ST and the quality of students is not so good.

BITS will be the preferred choice for any student given its benefits over NITs and equally good or even better placements.

i hav got 11k rank in jee adv and scored 320 in bitsat nd 242 in jee main and 89.8% in cbse,,,it iit's i don hav a chance,,absolutely!!for me a general cat. student,,could anyone plz suggest wat wud b d better choice fr me out of bits nd nits at my score????????

Sure NIT is better then BITS.Yes BITS is also not good.It also come among the top universities of India.But NIT is better then BITS.There is also difference in fee structure between two.There is might be same placement from both universities but the quality of NIT will be quite good then BITS.I think you should go for NIT and you are easily admission in that and it will have less fees then BITS.So it is good.Take admission in NIT.

I think i should laugh looking at these silly comments.. the five Nits (warrangal,tirchi,surathkal,calicut,allahabad) are the most desirous institution after IITS.. Except BITS Pillani ,other BITS stand nowhere in front of these five NITS. so chill.. i m saying this becuase i was through these circumstances. so if you are not gettings in top 7 old IITS ,a good branch preferably, then you can surely opt for these NITs if ur rank comes within the deserving line.. Forget abt other BITS other than Pillani campus. Otherwise you are always your own master and can take nethng out of your own volition.

i got 291 in bits and 4400 rank in jee mains . i feel that i have a good chance of getting in nit surathkal or warangal . but for me there are few chances to get a good branch in bits pilani campus. should i opt for goa campus and forget abt nits?

hi friend , if bits pilani is better than all nits,, colleges like nit trichy,nit warangal are better than bits hyderabad...so if you get a seat in bits pilani go for it.. or try in the top 5 nits...if you didn't go for bits hyderabad..lest go for the rest of nits.

Bits pilani is much better than all nits so u would go for bits pilani for better future.

Are you in your senses.Even BITS Hyderabad which is just 4-5 years old is an A list institution in SBI loan scheme along with the IIT's. NIT K or NIT Warangal are 50-60 years old. I still find them in the B list. I think you can laugh more freely after reading this. You probably failed to get into BITS. :P
