Hello Friend,
Calculating a gate score is a simple task. The GATE percentile is calculated by a simple formula: P = ( (N- your rank)/ N) x 100 Where P : percentile N : total number of candidates appeared for exam. (N- Your rank) indicates the number of candidates who have scored less marks than you. |

it is very simple to calculate percentile ::
Percentile = {(T-R)/T} * 100 T= number of students appeared for exam R= AIR (all India rank ) as this is your details :: R= 4695 T= 72680 so your percentile is 93.5. well there are many good colleges in which you can get college PSG,CIT,NIFFT,VJTI, NITIE, NIT Trichy, NIT Calicutt, BITS, BHU, NIT Suratkal, NIT-Warangal , NIT Bhopal, NIT Durgapur, all other NIT’s, Karnataka &Tamilnadu Engineering Colleges , SVUCE, JNTU, OUCE, AUCE, etc. |

1.Determine your All India Rank. This ranking indicates how well you performed on the test relative to all of the other test-takers in your category. The person who performed the best in their category receives a ranking of 1, the second best receives a ranking of 2, and so on. Your individual rank should be provided with your test results.
2 Determine the total number of candidates appearing in your category. This may also be expressed as the total number of candidates appearing in your paper. Either way, this information should also be provided with your test results. 3 Insert the information gathered from the first two steps into the formula: P= ((T-R) / R) x 100 Where P=Percentile, T=Total number of candidates, and R=All India Rank. For example, if your All India Rank was 700 and the total number of candidates in your category was 3,000, you would insert this information into the formula to get: P= ((3,000-700) / 3,000) x 100 4 Solve the equation. Using our example from the previous step, this would give us: P=((3,000-700) / 3,000) x 100 ---> P=(2,300 / 3,000) x 100 ---> P= 0.766 x 100 ---> P=76.6% |

Your gate percentile would be (72680-4695)/72680*100 = 93.54.
Percentile means how many students are below you in the exam. |

Dear friend,
The GATE percentile depend n several factors. A simple formula through which you can calculate your GATE percentile is given below: P = ( (T- your rank)/ T) x 100 Where, P= Percentile, T=total number of candidates appeared for exam. (T- Your rank)= the number of candidates who have scored less marks than you. Thank you. |

Dear pal,
GATE is conducted every year and the minimum pass mark for the exam varies from year to year based on the performance of the aspirants appearing in the exam. If the number of aspirant scoring more marks is high then the pass mark for the exam increases and vice versa. The percentage of mark score by you is determined using the formula. Percentage = (total number of students - rank of the aspirant)/ total number of aspirant percentage of mark is different from that of the mark secured by the aspirant. |

Hi
We all know GATE is the exam for the M.Tech programs across the country. So in order to find out where you stand in a set of people, we find the percentile. Please do not confuse this thing to be percentage. Percentile speaks what is your standard in the set of people appearing for that particular examination. The GATE percentile is calculated as follows by using this formula: P(Percentile) = [ (T- your rank) / N] x 100 Where T is total number of candidates appeared for exam. (T - Your rank) indicates the number of candidates who have scored less marks than you. For example, if total number of candidates are 1000 and 900 of them have less marks than you P = (090/1000)X100 = 0.9×100 = 90 percentile. Please use this formula and calculate your percentile in the exam. All the best Regards #RJ# |
