IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel. They conducts the Common Written Examination or the CWE on behalf of 20 public sector banks. This exam is conducted for various posts like Clerical Cadres, Probationary Officers, Specialist Officers etc.

Participating Banks in IBPS CWE Exam:-



For the IBPS PO Exam you need to have a bachelor's degree. This degree can be attained in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university. The percentage to acquire at graduation level does not matters here.

For the exam even final year students can apply. So if you are waiting for the result to come out or intending to appear for the final year exam then also you are eligible. By the time of admission you should pass the qualifying exam.

Your age should not be less than 21 year when applying for this examination. For general category candidates the upper age limit is 30 years. But for the reserved category candidates there is some upper age limit relaxation.

The written exam consists of both objective type questions and descriptive questions. For the objective paper questions will be from the following sections: Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. For the descriptive paper questions will be on Essay, letter writing, precis and so on.

IBPS only conducts the written exam but the interview session will be conducted by the public sector banks which releases notification regarding job vacancies. You will get a score card if you pass successfully and with that you will be eligible to apply for this exam. The validity of the score card is one year only.
