hello,
i jst passed my 12th & i want 2 know that which stream will be best for me in engg. should i take mech. or ele. & comm.???
plz help me out???

Mechanical engineering is better. You will have more options in career. It is also more interesting than E.c.e.

In my way mech. is good.But the choice must be depend upon your interest.

Both the streams are good and both the streams are highly demanding in Government sectors.

ECE represents the two technologies of present era: Electronics and Communication;

While Mechanical is the evergreen branch....equally demanding.

Fresh Graduates of both the streams find quite good jobs in:

Central Government, State Governments and their Sponsored Corporations in Public Enterprises like All India Radio, Indian Telephone Industries, MTNL, National Physical Laboratories, Civil Aviation Department; Post and Telegraph Department, Co-ordination Department, Bharat Electronics Limited and few other government undertakings.

Now think which you are more passionate about....
You can choose any one between them, depending upon your interest.

I am Raj Kewalramani from Mumbai, studying in Electronics and Telecommunication 4th year. I suggest you look for your interest first, and then deciede, because all the fields will provide you with great future opportunities provided you are
skillful in your field. I am studying telecommunication it is a good field, and I know about Mechanical which is also very nice field. I will strongly say look out for your interest and chose a field after all you have to do it and nobody else. Best of luck.

both branch are good because mechanical and electronics are the top most core departments.

but if you can choose mechanical department then you have lots of scope in govt sector.mainly mechanical departments candidate workson govt sector.but you have less chance in private sector.

if you can choose electronics then you have option to go govt or private sector.maximum private sector company allow the ECE student.

from my point of view you can choose ECE as a your career.

If you have interest in core field and you want to get a job in power plants, steel companies then you can go for this stream..
After completion of B.tech in mechanical stream you can get a job in core companies like-
TATA MOTOR
TATA STEEL
HINDUSTAN MOTOR
ASHOK LEYLAND
L&T
ONGC
NTPC
SAIL
BHEL
etc...

If you have interest in software sector as well as in telecommunication sector, then you can apply for ECE stream..
ECE is a stream from where you can apply for any field..

Acccording to my knowledge Machenical has less scope in todays world. You shoul go for ECE . It has better placement and package too. Good luck
