being in computers and lack of ece knowledge will it trouble much in doing m.tech im embedded systems or any other specialization that is related to electromagnetic areas like networking,wireless communication,VLSIetc.....waiting for a detailed explanation and guidance...

thats really going to be tough for you to do mtech from embedded systems , because its tough to know abot its systems , but you may do in IT feilds, can get the job as Networkings, hardware producers, application and software developrs,
there is vast in the fields of computers then why to get disturbed uselessly?

yes you can do M.tech in embedded systems from bharat ratna Dr.B.R Ambedkar,delhi.wireless communication is also good.

Yes ,definitely you can go for M.Tech in Embedded systems.
The qualification for this course is B.E/B.Tech with any trend(ECE/CSE/EEE/IT/E&I).

There are many universities all over India providing M.Tech in Embedded system design.

You can also take admission in reputed institutes like CDAC which is a Govt funded R&D center where M.E/M.Tech is offered on Embedded system design, diploma in VLSI design

Dear there is a difference when you do your Engg. from Computer Science and want to do M.tech in electromagnetic area and in doing with ECE.

Because when you are doing it when you have ECE then you will have all the basic knowledge about the electromagnetic field.

But when you don't have ECE then you have to study it from the basic.
It depends on you that if you have interest in electromagnetic area then you will cop up with this problem.

Don't think much if you have interest in electromagnetic field then go for it.

Can b.tech computer science students do m.tech in Maths or Subject related with maths?

yes in the hardware portions of computer science,there is lot research going in for vlsi and embedded designing.
the result of this is advancement in laptops and mini gadgets.
So,move on and dwell on this branches,they have a fine scope.

I want to say something to u,then why u have done ur btech in computer science.., if u have interest in electronics then why u took CS in ur graduation..

actually i m telling u what is the problem, u r confused, u don't know that in which line u want to go..

i think this is a wrong decision to take admission in mtech in embedded system.

because u don't know anything about basic electronics, then how could u excel yourself in that field..

this is possible but it is very difficult. as you are a student of b.tech computer science why you are interested to do m.tech on embedded system? there are so many good subject from computer science field in from which you may choose for you m.tech subject. like networking, software engineering, RDBMS etc. but if you are interested to study m.tech on embedded system also you may get. there are some institution which provide m.tech in embedded system also for b.tech computer science student. you may try in these college. surely you will get chance if you have a very good GATE score. best of luck.

yes I understand your problem.
my suggestion is that at first you studied hard the following..

1. first the hardware portion of computer system then...
2. gather the knowledge about networking.....

3. then wireless communication and then
4. lastly VLSI read and prepare for it very carefully...

b.tech computer science students can't do m.tech in embedded systems.

but if some one have interest in embedded systems they can do mtech in

1.VLSI.

it is related to embedded systems.and it is more demanding subject.

Of course you can do. For embedded System design Logical knowledge is more needed and i think CS students will have that.

Pleasee advise scope of M.Tech in VLSI FOR A PASS OUT B.TECH in CSE.
