Yes you can apply for IES.Eligibility for Indian civil Service is graduation in any stream.Age limit is minimium 21 yrs and maximum is 30 years.General candidate can apply 3 times,OBC candidate can apply 5 times and SC,ST candidate have no limit to apply.

you can apply for IES exam and so many post are there for electronics engineer so apply for IES without any confussion

If you have degree only in Electronics, i don't think you will be able to give exam. Because on website of upsc the questions papers that are given are of only Civil Engg. , Mech. Engg. , Electrical Engg. and E&T Engg.

An engineering graduate can surely apply for ies exam.Or a final year engineering student can also appy for this exam by providing enough proof of passing the course.There will be general ability test that includes questions regarding general awareness and english ability,another 2 papers with questions of your core branch,another 2 papers with quetions of engineering.A student with all basics of engineering can surely try this with extra added knowledge and efforts from his part.

IES is Indian Engineering Service conducted by UPSC every year in favour of selecting candidates for the post in Engineering organizations of Government of India.

Some important information for IES exam is given below:
A) Eligibility Criteria:
1. A candidate must have a engineering degree from a recognize university in the discipline of electrical, electronics, civil, mechanical engineering.
2. The final year student of engineering are also eligible for this exam.
B) Age Criteria:
1. for general category the age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of filling the form.
2. For SC/ST student the upper age relaxation is 5 years.
