Definately you are elgible to the exam of IES.
the qualification is any degree. But remember that you must have 60% marks in the degree. mechanical engineering students also applied in the last years. that is also one of the degree. so you may apply. 1.If you are belong to general category, you may write for four times only. 2.If you belong to OBC,you may write 7 times. 3.If you belong to SC/ST,you may write 9 times by reservations. all the best. |

Re: Can final year student of mechanical engg. for ies exam? how many chances/attempts allowed for appearing in IES exam?
HI!
Minimum Educational Qualification required for admission to the IES examination is that a candidate must have obtained a degree in Engineering from a recognised university. However, a candidate who has appeared at an examination the passing of which would render him educationally qualified for this examination, but has not been informed of the result, may apply for admission to the examination. A candidate who intends to appear at such a qualifying examination may also apply. So, you are eligible to appear in IES exam. The number of attempts for ies is 4 for a general student, |

dear friend,
NO, you can't appear in IES exam in your final year. you have to pass your b.tech. because at the time of filling exam form you have to attach the xerox copy of mark sheet of b.tech. as you don't have this final mark sheet of b.tech. so can't appear for IES exam. yes there is limitations of chance. the general category students can appear for maximum 4 times. the obc category students can appear for maximum 7 times.etc. all the best. |
