NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by UGC.This exam will be happen twice time in a year.

Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.So the minimum Qualification for NET exam is Masters Degree required.

You have completed your post garduation degree from vinayak mission university distance education , so if your PG course is recognized then you are applicable for NET Exam otherwise not.

For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55% marks above in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

For Junior research fellowship course , your age should be in between 19 to 28 years.

For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.

NET Exam date for June session Already over .So you can wait for exam notification .The notification for NET exam for December 2012 will be published very soon.It will be published in the month of November 2012 in UGC website.

From this year NET exam pattern totally changed .Question paper are based on only Objective type.There is no negative marking.

Eligibility

1. To be eligible candidate should be Indian national.

2. The minimum percentage required in post graduation course to appear for NET is 55%.

3. For SC/ST the requirement is 50 percent.

4. Final year students of masters course may also apply but should be able to meet the percentage and submit the degree within 2 years of passing NET exam. Unable to do so they would be disqualified.

5. Your subject for Master degree course would determine which subject you will have to choose for NET exam.

6. The age limit for JRF - Junior Research Fellowship is 28 years.

7. There is 5 years relaxation for reserve category students.

8. There is no upper age limit for Lectureship.

9. Neither there is any limit on number of attempts.

For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.

NEW PATTERN FOR NET EXAM

For Paper I-

It's has 60 Question.Out of 60 Question , you can answered 50 Question.Total marks of this paper is 100 marks.The time duration for this session is 1¼ Hours (09.30 a.m. to 10.45 a.m.)

For Paper II-

It has 50 question.All Question are compulsory . Total marks of this paper is 100 marks.The time duration for this session is 1¼ Hours (10.45 a.m. to 12.00 Noon.)

For Paper III-

It has 75 question.All Question are compulsory . Total marks of this paper is 150 marks.The time duration for this session is 2½ Hours (01.30 p.m. to 04.00 p.m.)

first i tell you that you check about your college on ugc site
www.ugc.net
in that site a fack college list is given
if your college is not in that list so you appeared for net exam

i have completed msc chemistry from vmu,but the course dose not have specialisation such as inorganic, organic, phuysica etc. which is required for net. So ,is it possible to appeare net without specialisation
