Dear Friend!

It is to inform you that you can apply for IPSC only after passing B.Tech course or while in final year.

So being in B.Tech 2nd year, you are not eligible to apply for IPS .

IPS:- Indian Police Service

To become an IPS officer, you need to appear in "Civil Service Exam' which is organized by UPSC once in a year.

UPSC:- Union Public Service Commission.


Eligibility Criteria:-

• You must have completed graduation degree in any stream from recognized Institute/University.
  
• Final year degree students are also applying for this examination.
  
• Your Age must be between 21 to 30 years(Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for reserve category candidates as per government norms).
  
• You must be an Indian Citizen. Male & female both are eligible to apply for IPS.

Physical Standard for IPS:





Civil Service Exam has three stages:-

• Preliminary Exam
• Main Exam
• Interview

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for I.P.S after passing B.Tech 2nd year.
If you want to become I.P.S officer then you have to pass B.Tech course or you can apply after passing after passing 3rd year.

I.P.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

I.P.S exam is also known as civil services exam.

Civil Services Exam is conducted for other post also like:-
> I.A.S
> I.P.S
> I.F.S
> I.R.S
etc

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts

There are four stage of selection:-
> Prelims Written Exam
> Mains Exam
> Interview
> Medical Exam

Yes. Of course you can appear for Indian Police Service(IPS). To join IPS one must clear the civil service examination organised by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). The eligibility criteria for this exam is bachelors degree in any stream from any UGC recognised university. The age limit is 21-30 years and a relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years relaxation for SC/ST. So after completion of B.Tech you can appear for civil service exam to become an IPS officer. Yes dear you can apply for ips after completing ur b.tech ...

If you are a b.tech student then you can definitely appear for the UPSC Civil servivce examination examination for becoming an IPS (Indian Police Service) officer. But only core branches of b.tech including computer science are eligible for this examination. For details please visit www.upsc.gov.in

Yes, you can apply for IPS Civil Service Exam in the final year of your B.Tech. studies or after completion of the same.

Indian Police Service(IPS) and to become an IPS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good physical fitness.

Apart from this the aspiring candidate for IPS should have maintained a certain prescribed minimum physical requirement such as:-

HEIGHT - For General Male-165cm and Female-150cm where as SC/ST Male candidate -160cm and Female candidate-145cm.

CHEST - Male-85cm and Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The selection is through three stages:-

-CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary exam comprises of objective type questions

-Civil Service Main Exam comprises of subjective type questions from prescribed syllabus

-Personal Interview
