Can I apply for IPS after B.Tech? I am a student of B.Tech 2nd year
hi, i am stdnt of B.tech. 2nd year .can i apply for ips after B.tech.

Hello,
Yes. Of course you can appear for Indian Police Service(IPS). To join IPS one must clear the civil service examination organised by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). The eligibility criteria for this exam is bachelors degree in any stream from any UGC recognised university. The age limit is 21-30 years and a relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years relaxation for SC/ST. So after completion of B.Tech you can appear for civil service exam to become an IPS officer. If you are a b.tech student then you can definitely appear for the UPSC Civil servivce examination examination for becoming an IPS (Indian Police Service) officer. But only core branches of b.tech including computer science are eligible for this examination. For details please visit www.upsc.gov.in

Yes, you can apply for IPS Civil Service Exam in the final year of your B.Tech. studies or after completion of the same.
Indian Police Service(IPS) and to become an IPS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good physical fitness. Apart from this the aspiring candidate for IPS should have maintained a certain prescribed minimum physical requirement such as:- HEIGHT - For General Male-165cm and Female-150cm where as SC/ST Male candidate -160cm and Female candidate-145cm. CHEST - Male-85cm and Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases. The selection is through three stages:- -CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary exam comprises of objective type questions -Civil Service Main Exam comprises of subjective type questions from prescribed syllabus -Personal Interview For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |

Yes.. You can apply for UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)exam after the completion of B.Tech Final year Examination...
