Currently I am working abroad and my age is 32 years as of 31st August 2012. I am from OBC Category. Can i apply for JTO 2013 exam.

To appear for the JTO exam it is a must that the candidate should have completed either Bachelors in Engineering or Bachelors in Technology. It is a must that the course should be pursued from a recognised institute. The candidate should have specialised in any of the areas like Telecommunications, Computers, Electronics or Radio Engineering. Also it is a must that the candidate should be at least 21 years of age. Even final year students can appear for this exam. So sure you can appear for the exam in 2011. This is provided you have chosen any of the streams mentioned during graduation. The notification should be out any time in the month of February or March normally. Also the exam should be in the month of April or May. So you must start preparing for this exam immediately.

DETAILS ABOUT BSNL JTO EXAM

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :

JTO-TELECOM

Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized engineering college/university.

i. Telecommunication,
ii. Electronics,
iii. Radio,
iv. Computer,
v. Electrical.
vi. Information Technology

Final year student are eligible for JTO exam..

JTO-CIVIL

You must have Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution/University.

JTO-ELECTRICAL

You must have Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution/University.

AGE LIMITATION:-

The maximum age for JTO exam is 30 years.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

NATIONALITY:-

Only Indian Citizen are applicable.

For this year BSNL JTO exam date not announced yet.
