Can I apply for permanent jobs in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan being 36 years old CTET qualified?


Can I apply for permanent jobs in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) as I got eligibility certificate after clearing CTET. I am 36 years old now and I was 34 years old when I gave my exam as my daughter was very small I couldn't apply that time.

Candidate upper age limit should be 40 years for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), 35 years for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), 30 years for Primary Teacher post (PRT)

The upper age limit prescribed above is however relaxable in the following cases :

SC / ST : Extension of age 5 years

OBC : Extension of age 3 years

Women (All category) for teaching posts only including (SC/ST/OBC candidates ) extension of age 10 years

So, yes you can apply for a job in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan
