Annamalai University M.Sc. Botany: Second Year: Taxonmy of Angiosperms, Economic Botany, Environmental Biology, Phytogeography & Elements of Forestry Papers
Annamalai University offers a M.Sc. in botany through distance education. The exam of the course is held twice every year, in the months of May and December. The course duration is two years. There is a subject on Taxonmy of Angiosperms, Economic Botany, Environmental Biology, Phytogeography & Elements of Forestry, in the second year of the course. Previously, a part of the subject was there in the first year, but now the regulations have changed. The pattern of the subject is given in the following.
The exam of Taxonmy of Angiosperms, Economic Botany, Environmental Biology, Phytogeography & Elements of Forestry, is a conventional exam of three hours and 100 marks. There are three sections in the paper. The first section consists of eight questions of three marks each. The questions have to be answered in not more than 50 words.
The second section has 6 questions, each of 6 marks. These questions have to be answered in maximum 300 words. There is an internal choice with each question.
The last section has two questions. These are essay type questions, each of 20 marks. The word limit for these questions is 1200 words. In this section also, there are internal choices.
