After completion of Bachelor of Physiotherapy course you are not eligible to become a surgeon.

Eligibility criteria to become surgeon

To be eligible applicants need to join MBBS course and applicants should be 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) as main subjects at 10+2. Applicants has to appear in an entrance tests taken by the various State and Independent bodies like PMT, taken by Punjab Government and CBSE-PMT (Pre Medical Test). After completion of MBBS course, one has to go for Master of surgery degree. After getting qualification and mandatory training in medical college and hospital, surgeon can choose to work either in government or private hospital.

# Physiotherapy is the branch of medical science which deals in treatment of the patient is done with the help of physicals means or physical agents such as physical exercises, muscle stimulator, electrical equipments, SWD, different radiations etc.

# It is not possible for you to become surgeon after BPT. Only MBBS or BAMS degree holders can become general surgeon.

# Followings are the qualities needed in a physiotherapist:

* Ability to work independently or in a team
* Excellent communication skill
* Soft-hearted
* Good skill of time management
* Good listener (towards patients)
* Good patience
* Good physical fitness level
* Patient handling skill
