KLE’s Institute of Physiotherapy as the name implies is a constituent unit of the KLE University located in the city of Belgaum in Karnataka. This institute began its journey in the year 1994 as the department of physiotherapy of the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College located in Belgaum.

The institute started its educational journey with an UG course in the field of Physiotherapy and later PG course was introduced in the year 1999. In the meantime, the department developed itself as an autonomous institute with its present name and it is shortly called as KIPT.

Eligibility requirement:

Bachelor of Physiotherapy:

For seeking admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course offered by the institute, candidates must have completed their second year of PUC/10+2 with not less than 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) of marks in science group with biology, chemistry and physics subject. Even candidates who have completed their job oriented course in Rehabiliation/physiotherapy. Also, candidate must have completed 17 years of age on the 31st of December of the year in which he/she is seeking admission.

Master of Physiotherapy:

For seeking admission to the Master of Physiotherapy, candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Physiotherapy or Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy with not less than 50% of marks from an Indian University or equivalent qualification from abroad.

How to apply to the institute:

Candidates can get the application form from the office of the college on payment of Rs.500 in the form of DD drawn in the name of the Principal, K.L.E Society’s Institute of Physiotherapy payable at Belgaum.
