Definitely you can pursue PHD after completion of your Masters Degree because minimum eligibility required to pursue PhD is Masters Degree in any discipline from a recognised University. Your percentage should not be less than 50 for General and relaxation of 5% is given to the candidates of reserved categories. Hence you are eligible to persue after completion of your MA.

You can't directly apply for Ph.D course after completion of M.A course.

To get admission in Ph.D course, you should qualify in UGC NET exam. Your masters degree marks must be above 55% from a recognized University.
