Graduates from any stream can apply but certain conditions need to be fulfilled. You need to have studied Maths as a subject in Graduation. Also some institutes ask for candidates with Maths as a subject in 12th standard. You need to check out the notifications for the same. Also you will need to clear the entrance exam of that institute.

If you studied math in your 12th class or graduation level then you are eligible to apply for MCA. But only on the basis of B.Com you are not eligible to apply for MCA program. But according to me MCA is not a good line for the B.Com graduates you should go either for M.Com or MBA.

If your aspiring to apply for MCA course after completing B.com course then you should compulsory having Business Mathematics ( or ) Mathematics as a main subject in 12th or Bachelor degree then only your eligible to get admission foir MCA course .


MCA ie :- Master of Computer Application . MCA is an Master degree in computer application . The duration of the course is for two years and the course is divided into eight semester . MCA course having good scope in both the government as well as public sectors.

Eligibility criteria for MCA course :-

The eligibility criteria for MCA course is differ from institutes to institutes . The Basic eligibility criteria for MCA course . You should qualified in bachelor degree in any discipline like , Commerce / science / Arts with good percentage of marks from recognized university . You should score minimum 60% percentage of marks . The institution may also conduct entrance examination within the colleges . The admission for MCA course is based Entrance examination as well as percentage of marks in bachelor degree .

• Birla Institute of Technology Mesra MCA Entrance Exam
• Delhi University MCA Entrance Exam
• Integrated Common Entrance Test
• Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Examination

So , If your having mathematics or Business Mathematics subject then you may eligible to get admission for MCA course in reputed colleges .
