Bachelors degree Program offered by the Indira Gandhi National Open University, gets recognition all over India. It is recognized by the Distance Education Council and University Grant Commission.
Since it is recognized all over India, student holding a bachelors degree from IGNOU are eligible to write any exam which is conducted by the state government as well as central government which also include Civil Service Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
