Re: Can I get admission in direct 2nd year civil engineering? I have passed with 60%
I don't believe it is possible in any of the government colleges who provide degree courses in engineering. To get admission in a government engineering college, you might have to appear in a national level or state level engineering entrance exam. Only after that, if you get a good score, you can get a good college but only to get admission in the first year of the course.
However, there might be some private colleges who do provide admission in the sophomore year to the diploma holders of a particular trade. You would have to do some research to find some colleges. Although it is possible that these colleges might not be in your locality or your state for that matter of fact. I would rather advise that you try for a government college and get admission in the first year of the course and take it from there. |

Management quota is possible after completing diploma course but you have to pay donation to get admission. If it is not possible then definitely you have to appear for the lateral entry entrance examination which is conducted by their respective universities. Lateral entry announcement will be released soon in their respective websites.
