sir, i'm confused whether i should give cat or not ? what if i don't give the exam ? will it affect my admission into a good college? are there any easier exams than cat? if yes, pls. mention them .i'm waiting for the reply.

an easier exam than CAT is AIEEE or CET . everything is possible in this world so you may try for admission. moreover if you want to get admission than you should aim only for CAT . it is the best option and you will thank me after getting job and that so on a good salary.

CAT is easy if you prepare for it.
but if you asked so you can give MAT.

its ok if you dont go for CAT..you can do MAT xam. MAT exams of december and february are considered by most of the colleges..

and other state board xams.,
but there is no alternative to hard work...

colleges.e.g.

2.MAT

3.ATMA

4.exam for MBA, conducted by Manipal university

To get admission in the top ranked management schools you need to crack the CAT and it is the only way to get into those fine B-schools.

See,there are many options for you . If you want to get admission in colleges like IIPMs you must score good rank in the CAT exam.

Other than IIPMs ,there are many self-financial colleges which admit students to different management courses on the basis of rankings in exams like MAT/XAT/GMAT etc.

The truth is that competition is everywhere my friend,you have to prepare yourself according to that.

And the fact for you is that you have to take part in that competition if you really want a top college for studying management courses. There is no other way for a good career.

YES, there are various exam apart from CAT which is conducted for admission in good MBA college.

these exams include MAT, XAT, etc.there is separate exam for admission in symbiosis institute, pune.

You cannot get into the one of the excellent colleges of India unless you qualify in CAT
with a good performance. If you are sound enough then you can buy the seats in any
Private colleges that are in high standards.

CAT is essential to get a happy admission into MBA.
Hence i advise you to write CAT exam.

according to me you should sit for cat exam just practice ..........dont be afraid, nothing is tough and nothing is easy its totally your practice which makes it tough or easy.......by givig cat you will be eligible to top colleges ....so just try out

Dont get confused.
Do whatever your mind says, if you are really willing to get admission in MBA then why to get confused. CAT is the best for getting a seat in Good MBA college or else you can get MBA seat in the local colleges by paying donation and moreover they are not upto the national level.
So, brother just clear the confusion and get ready to give CAT exam. Its the best way and the final decision is yours.

U GIVE A TRY MAN..Der is no oder exams fr entrance in indian mba colleges so my opinion is to write cat exam..

Of course if you won't appear CAT then you won't be able to get admission in the best colleges of India ie IIM.
But if you don't take CAT test there are other ways also some college not IIMs but good for sure.

Try these exam these entrances also lead to much better colleges

there are many easier exams than cat lime for example MAT is....plus snap is also easy....but the choices will decrease for you...if you relie on exams other than cat

most of the colleges make CAT as their criteria to get admission in the MBA. but if you dont have to go for it then dont worry about it just go for the XMAT OR MAT these are also the tests for getting admission into MBA. and if you want to pursue MBA from abroad then go for GMAT.

i am priya here.i have done my bca.now i m interested in mba but i m lil confused about taking admission.i need some help from u ppl that i should take admission directly like iipm clg(althoug its too much costly arnd 10 lakhs)or whether i should write cat n mat?now i have to wait for next yr nov 2011 for cat or mat exam.if anyone know any good clg rather than iipm ( too costly)then plz let me know as well as tell me what to do.do i should prepare for CAT exam?i heard its tough i m average student.

Surely, you can get admission in top B Schools without giving CAT exam.

If you do not want to appear for CAT then you can appear for other management entrance exams like:

BIMTECH exam for admission to Birla Institute of Management Technology

AIMA Management Aptitude Test ( MAT ) for admission to MAT participating institutes

FMS Entrance Test for admission to Faculty of Management Studies

SNAP - Symbiosis National Aptitude Test for admission to symbiosis management institute

There are lots of entrance exam which MBA aspirants can apply for. In most of the colleges candidates are taken up after an entrance exam. Colleges that comes under the CAT entrance listing are the A rated B-school. If you want to join a good B-school then you need to appear in CAT and score high marks in the entrance exam.

Well CAT is not the only exam through which one can take admission in MBA
courses,though it has some of the topmost colleges and also; perhaps
the largest pool of colleges accept CAT scores...
But nothing to worry .. you can also appear for
exams like
MAT, Mh-CET ,
JMET( only for engineers)
SNAP TEST by Symbiosis
NMAT
NIRMA
IIPM
AIMS
TANCET Tamilnadu
XAT - XLRI Admission Test
OPENMAT by IGNOU
except OPENMAT AND IIPM all the above exam-scores are accepted by many institutes and can help you gain admission in good colleges

However After some top colleges say around top 20 rankings the quality significantly drops in all regards... further i would suggest try for top ten in any of them , they are good enough.

ya to get admission in any IIM than CAT is compulsory. the CAT exam is conducted by IIM only.

There are many good universities with interesting programs that you can look for like sports mgmt, fashion and retail mgmt etc. As these are contemporary programs most of these programs are not available in these old colleges, so you can look for UTM as it is a lifestyle university and the basis of admission here is easy.

If you want to admission in good Engg. college then you will appear in the cat examination .. yes it is quite tuff but not so tuff..

yes there are some exam conducted by the college which take good ranking like Symbosis and other you be a part of them or MAT is a exam which is as easy as compare to CAT..

Yes.. there are so many exams like XAT, SNAP, GMAT, MAT, MET... after clearing any one of them you may get admission into excellent colleges.. but you should try atleast once for CAT.. cracking CAT will land you on the top colleges like IIMS... Then nobody can stop you from fulfilling your dreams... You would be near to PARADISE ON EARTH...

Yes,without CAT it is possible to get the good MBA college.But you have to write some different exams are
MAT,
XAT,
TANCET in tamilnadu,
PGCET in a.p,
ICET,
GMAT etc.
By qualifying in above entrance exams wok will get the good college.
The CAT is highest priority and also it is toughest entrance exams compared to all.
The MAT is conducting 4 times in a year so it is easy to get the good merit.
