Sir i am getting 88 marks in jee main 2013 & my cbse board % is 79.5 & i belong to sc category.
Can i get any nit or iiit??????????? Or any other better college....

With 88 marks in JEE mains, you wont get any IIT but surely you will get NIT.
However, you may not get top NIT.

With 49 marks its very difficult to get IIT and top NIT.
You may try for lower NIT.

I think you will not get admission in NIT because you have low marks.You should score marks above 195 to 250 to get in NIT.Because NIT comes under top institution of India.You have not qualify for JEE ADVANCE.So apply for some another college.

Dear Engineering aspirant,

There are very less chances, that you will get any IIT.

As 88 marks is low score of JEE Mains, so won't get any IITs.

But you may get NIT, as you have secured 79.5 % marks in Board.

So, after including 40% marks in JEE Mains Marks, it will improve your rank.

And also, you will get benefit of your category, as you are of SC category.

Hence, getting NIT is not so difficult for you.

Just wait for JEE Mains rank to be declared on 7 July.

Cut off marks for SC category in JEE mains is 50
so you are very well above it.
also you have 79+ marks in your board exam

As per this year pattern, your final rank would be prepared based on the following weightage

60% JEE Main Score
40% Board score

Since you have done fairly well in board exam, you rank would boost up.
You will not get any IIT, but surely will get NIT.
Again, getting into top NIT is very difficult for you.
