Can I get a seat in IIT or NIT Trichi after scoring 36 marks in GATE
sir i am an ECE student. i got 36 marks in gate 2015 . can i get seat in iit or nit trichi. i am an oc(general) student.

The GATE stands for gratitude aptitude test in engineering. The maximum marks in GATE are 100. Generally the cutoff marks for ECE is 25-27. So as per score you are considered qualified in GATE exam. But i think that the 36 marks in GATE are not sufficient to get seat in IIT. You must have to score at least 60 percent or more to get admission in IIT. But you need not to be worry. With this much score you can go for direct interview in so many Public Sector Companies. So my suggestion to you is that you should try your luck in Government based companies.
