Am i eligible to give the UPSC Engineering service exam. I am a computer engineer..

yes you are eligible, but the papers comprises of only four branch that is ME,ECE,CIVIL,EE
so if you have some knowledge about this field's then you can clear the paper
so it's your choice which paper you will choose(ME,ECE,CIVIL,EE)

if you want to give I E S exam ...then i tell you that computer science engineers are not eligible for giving the I E S exam ....so sorry friend ..
but you can prefare for any other U P S C exam...

i am sorry to say you that there are only four subjects in which the exam for ies can be given,they are civil,mechanical,electrical and electronics

yes of course you are eligible if u hav any degree in engineering or equivalent but for giving the IES exam you have to choose one paper out of the four i.e Mech,Civil,Electrical or electronics....

i dont know last date for ips and ias officer exam plz tell me and i am computer engineer so i am participate in this exam

following branches are eligible to it for the ies exam:
1 mechanical
2 electrical
3 civil

year sure you are eligible to give the exam but you must first confirm whether you have crossed the age limit or not. Otherwise everything is fine. You can check eligibility criteria on

According to my knowledge, i think you are not eligible because in I E S exams only four branches have this opportunity like ME, ECE, CIVIL, EE. So, sorry you are not eligible for

no re,it is for other branches,nt for cs members and if u hav to ans ies exam u must hav to knw other branch subjects.....

i think that you are not eligible for upsc since computer strem is not included in it at the best of my knowledge .

but you can look for some other entrance exams conducted by upsc .

I regret to say that you are not eligible for applying for the IES exam.

This exam which is conducted by the UPSC each year is only for the engineering branches: ME,CIVIL,EE,ECE

1)civil
2)mechanical
3)electrical
4)electronics
so computer science candidate is not applicable for IES.

Dear aspirant,

It is not possible for you to appear for UPSC Engineering Services as you belong to computer Science field.

It is not recruiting computer science students.

Don't worry you can appear for the GATE entrance then you can get in any public sector navaratna company.

Each year the notification for GATE will be available in the moth of September.

Believe you can and you will on the half way.

Yes you are eligible to apply for IES Examination.
IES stands for Indian Engineering Services. IES exam is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates in different services such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics engineering.

The eligibility criteria for IES exam are as follows:
Age limit
General 21-30 yrs
SC/ST 21-35 yrs
OBC 21-33 yrs

Educational Qualification
The candidate should have degree in engineering from university recognized by UGC.

Nationality
The candidate should be Indian

Eligibility for UPSC Engineering Services Exam

The UPSC conducts engineering services exam every year for which there are very less seats and the competition is really intense..

Eligibility Criteria :-

A candidate can appear for the engineering services exam only if :-

>> The candidate is within the age limit of 21-30 years if general..21-33 years if OBC and 21-35years if SC/ST..

>> Candidates must have completed their B.E/B.Tech in any of the following streams :-

I am really sorry but Computer Engineering students are not eligible for appearing for the Engineering Services..
