Am i eligible to give the UPSC Engineering service exam. I am a computer engineer..

yes you are eligible, but the papers comprises of only four branch that is ME,ECE,CIVIL,EE
so if you have some knowledge about this field's then you can clear the paper
so it's your choice which paper you will choose(ME,ECE,CIVIL,EE)

if you want to give I E S exam ...then i tell you that computer science engineers are not eligible for giving the I E S exam ....so sorry friend ..
but you can prefare for any other U P S C exam...

i am sorry to say you that there are only four subjects in which the exam for ies can be given,they are civil,mechanical,electrical and electronics

yes you are absolutely eligibile friend for upsc exam

yes of course you are eligible if u hav any degree in engineering or equivalent but for giving the IES exam you have to choose one paper out of the four i.e Mech,Civil,Electrical or electronics....

i dont know last date for ips and ias officer exam plz tell me and i am computer engineer so i am participate in this exam

following branches are eligible to it for the ies exam:
1 mechanical
2 electrical
3 civil
4 electronics

year sure you are eligible to give the exam but you must first confirm whether you have crossed the age limit or not. Otherwise everything is fine. You can check eligibility criteria on

According to my knowledge, i think you are not eligible because in I E S exams only four branches have this opportunity like ME, ECE, CIVIL, EE. So, sorry you are not eligible for
apply in UPSC Engineering Service exams............

no re,it is for other branches,nt for cs members and if u hav to ans ies exam u must hav to knw other branch subjects.....

i think that you are not eligible for upsc since computer strem is not included in it at the best of my knowledge .

but you can look for some other entrance exams conducted by upsc .

I regret to say that you are not eligible for applying for the IES exam.

This exam which is conducted by the UPSC each year is only for the engineering branches: ME,CIVIL,EE,ECE

the UPSC organise IES for only four branches:
1)civil
2)mechanical
3)electrical
4)electronics
so computer science candidate is not applicable for IES.

after b.e. Civil engineering to give gpsc and upsc exams are good or not?

my branch is metallurgy ,can i give the exam of U.P.S.C taking metallurgy or i will have to choose any other subject?
