can i join air force after age 23...please tell me if I can join it

Yes definitely you can join the Indian Air force at the age of 23. You can attend the CDS exam. This you can join after completing the graduation in any stream. But you need to study physics and mathematics at the 12th class level. You should be between 19-23 years and should be unmarried male candidates. You need to attend written examination. If you get qualified in the written exam, you should attend the Physical test and personal interview.

You please mention you qualification.
If you pass the graduation then you are eligible for Graduation then you are eligible for air force.
For this you have to qualify the Combine Defence Services Exam(C.D.S.E).

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

After qualifying C.D.S exam you can join Defence services like:-
> Army
> Air Force
> Navy

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass graduation with recognized university
> Age limit:-19-24 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

If you want to join the Indian Air Force, then there are certain entry schemes which have different criteria's.

You have not mentioned your present qualification however I am listing the available ways to join IAF.

1. Firstly if you are 12th pass, then via the NDA exam you can join the IAF. In this your age should be within 16.5 to 19 years and you must be a minimum 12th pass. Maths and Physics are compulsory subjects for IAF.


2. If you are a graduate already, then you are eligible for NDA II. This is also another way to get into IAF. The age should be within 21-25 years and you should be a minimum graduate in any stream having studied Physics and Maths are compulsory subjects.


3. Another Exam which you can sit for is the Combine Defence Services Exam (C.D.S.E).
This is also organized by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year.

For getting in any branch of Indian Defense, you need to be physically fit.


This would be the steps through which you have to go through :

-> Written Test
-> Medical Test and SSB GD.
-> Personal Interview


So yes you are eligible if you satisfy any of the following.

Yes, You can join Indian Air Force an age of 23.

But you have not mention your qualification.Because bachelor degree have must to join through CDS.

CDS is a good way to join Air force. CDS exam conduct by UPSC for Airforce,Indian militry & Navel Acdemy, Officers training Academy.

Indian Militry- To join Indian militry only Unmarried candidate who born between 1989 to 1994 and must have graduate degree from recognise university are eligible.

Indian navel academy-To join INA, unmarried candidate who born between 1991 to 1994.candidate must have enginnering degree or bachelor degree
with physics and chemistry.

Airforce academy- To join Air force, only unmarried candidate who born between 1990 to 1994 are eligible.You must have bachelor degree in enginnering.

Officers training Academy- To join OTA both candidate married and unmarried who born between 1988 to 1994 can apply and must have graduate degree from recognise university.

Yes, at the age of 23 you can join Airforce.
You can make your way to airforce by giving CDSE(Combined Defence Service examination) exam.This exam is conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility Criteria

1) age should be in between 19-23
2) Person should be unmarried
3) This is only for men .
4) Person should be Indian
5) Educational Qualification-
*Graduate (Three Year Course ) in any discipline from a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) / BE / B Tech (Four Year Course) .
*Final Year students can also apply, provided thay do not have any backlog with an aggregate of 60% of marks.

6) Must clear all fitness tests

The selection process includes written exam, interview and medical exam

-To join Air Force, you need to appear in CDS(Combined Defence Service) Examination connected by UPSC{Union Public Service Commission} twice in a year. UPSC conducts CDS Exam generally as CDS I & CDS II.

-CDS Exam is conducted to recruit candidates in following fields:->

1. Indian Military Academy(IMA)

2. Indian Naval Academy(INA)

3. Indian Air Force Academy

Educational Qualification for CDSE:

Hi,
I want to join indian Air Force....my age is 23,born on 10th dec 1988...but the eligibility criterion for CDS EXAM through UPSC says candidate must be 19 to 23 years old and born after july 1990!!...how is this possible?.....and please guide me if i can join air force now either through CDS or by any other examination?
