Sorry to say that you are not eligible to join Indian Navy with commerce in 12th.

But, you need not to worry; you can give examination for Indian Army.

The eligibility criteria required for Indian Army are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of 12th in commerce stream from any recognised board.

* Age limit- 16.5-19 yrs.

* Sex- Male.

* Marital status- Unmarried or single.

* Nationality- Indian.

Sorry to say that commerce student are not eligible for NDA exam .So you are applicable only for the post of Indian Army .

NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year.NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings Indian Air Force , Indian Navy and Indian Army

Education Qualification:-

Must be completed 12th standard .There is no percentage criteria for the candidate.Final year candidate are also applicable.

Age Limit:-

Age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.No age relaxation for reserved category .

Citizenship:-

Indian

Martial Status :-

Unmarried

Gender :-

Male

For joining Indian Navy as officer you must complete 10+2 with subjects like Physics and Mathematics.

There is only one post for which Physics and Maths is not required that is Senior Secondary Sailor post. I don't think you are aiming for a Non Officer post.

There is NDA examination after 10+2 through which you can join Indian Navy but you don't have the required subjects . Hence you are not eligible for it.

You can apply for Indian Army if you want to join as you will be eligible for it. For Indian Army any stream students can apply through NDA examination.

The selection in NDA will depend upon the performance in the following stages:

-Objective Type Paper

-SSB Interview

-Medical Examination

I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for Indian Army officer after passing 12th with commerce Stream.

For joning Indian Army you have to qualify the N.D.A exam.

NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year. In month of august and April.

Age limit in N.D.A exam is 16.5-19 year.

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

You can apply both online and offline.
The Cost of for is 20/- Rs.

Hii I am tanmay, I want to join Indian navy. I am (b.com) commerce student. I passed my 12th from commerce strem by 61%. Am i eligible to join Indian navy? & What is the procedure to join Indian navy?
