Can i join the navy from arts stream after 12th base

To join navy you should have maths and physics in your education .
So If you are a student of arts stream then you can't join the navy.

A 12th standard completed arts students are not eligible for Indian Navy but you are eligible for Indian Army., for this you have to appear NDA examination.

NDA-National Defence Academy.

NDA exam conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) two times in a year.


NDA has three wings:-

Indian Army,

Indian Airforce,

Indian Navy.


Eligibility criteria:-

For Indian Navy and Airforce:

The candidate should have to complete 12th standard with PCM subjects from a recognised university or board.

For Indian Army:

The candidate should have to complete 12th standard or it's equivalent from a recognised board or university.


Applicant must be a citizen of India.

Applicant age should be in between 16.5 years to 19 years, no upper age relaxation.

Candidate should be a citizen of INDIA.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Girls are not eligible.


Selection procedure:-

Written exam,

SSB interview,

Medical test.


Syllabus:-

Mathematics-300 marks,

General ability-600 marks.

Total-900 marks.
